Jotamastic 87 Surface Tolerant Epoxy Primer is recommended for offshore environments, new construction, marine hulls, topside and superstructures. It can be applied direct to carbon steel, stainless steel, galvanised steel, aluminium and over previously coated surfaces.
Jotamastic 87 is a two pack epoxy semigloss suitable for use in atmospheric and immersed environments as a primer or intermediate coat in a multicoat system. It is resistant to continuous operating temps of 120c and in immersed seawater at 50c. Jotamastic 87 Primer may be used above and below the water line, the winter grade version can be applied at sub zero temperatures.
Jotamastic 87 Surface Tolerant Epoxy Primer is designed for use on steel when abrasive blast cleaning may not be possible. It can be applied by Airless spray, brush or Roller. The aluminium version is recommended as a first coat to provide extra corrosion and water resistance. Jotamastic 87 is a high solids, high build, two pack surface tolerant epoxy mastic with excellent abrasion and corrosion resistance.
